Risk and Route Indices
Six proprietary indices that trace a single line from the water to the till. They measure both halves of the journey: the pressure building at the shipping chokepoints and the pressure landing in the household budget. Each is a transparent weighted composite, recomputed every six hours, and the live gauges below carry the current reading rather than any fixed narrative.
Primary Indices
The top-line view: aggregate route disruption, household fuel exposure, and what it all costs at checkout.
Chokepoint Severity Scores
Per-corridor risk for the three maritime chokepoints that move the most US-bound trade.
How These Indices Are Built
Each index is a weighted composite of real-time data: vessel traffic anomalies, commodity price movements, GDELT news severity scores, and economic indicators. Weights are documented publicly. The formulas are transparent. The data integration and daily computation is the barrier to replication.
